NOT AGAIN....

.............I just confused.

1st, the schedule said Korean class & Japanese For Business class are clashed. Hm. OOk. I've decided to left Korean for know. Can catch it up with a course sometime in the future. OK.

Let's just hope I won't regret it.

But today...........

I found out after logged in to SIAK again that the Japanese Business Ethic class is suddenly clashed with Kapsel Bud.....

Argh....

I'm still waiting for a message from a friend, who said will call our homeroom teacher about this.

I just found 1 conclusion though: if it's gonna be like this then I could take the Korean class!!

But nonetheless, I'm still worried & confused about this whole clashed things......

Japan HOliday!!!

YaaaY! I’m baaaack!! Tadaimaaaaa~~~~
I just got back from a week tour in Japan with my cousin. Lots of fun & tiring & weird things happened! Warning you, this is a long journal. Very very long!
My 1st impressions about Japan are:

  1. very neat
  2. very clean
  3. the air is very fresh, as if no pollution
  4. very………..fashionable

Ok, let’s start with the places I have gone to~~

1st, we went to Osaka Universal Studio. If you ever go to America’s one, you’ll know what the contents: most of them are like 3D. Terminator, Spiderman, Shrek, ET, etc. Actually I’m not really fond of something like this. Know what, my 1st intention is to search some books or whatever datas available for my final paper so I’m not really interested with this kind of entertainment. Oh well………I’ve gone all this way to Japan so I can’t complain, I guess. I’m getting old, yes.
What I like the most from this entertainment places are took pictures, see interesting Japanese people & the parade. Yes, I like the parade! Here’s some photos of the parade at Universal Studio, the theme is “friendship”. Another hilarious thing was because their pronunciation of said word was “burendoship” so I was confused at 1st. What’s burendoship??? Only later, when they sung the song, I understand. And there were 4 guys who lead the parade. Too bad I couldn’t take a clear picture of them, but when I saw them at the tower they were standing –which was far far away from where I stood—I thought they were Jhonny’s boys!! But since they weren’t sing any song & I saw 2 of them from a close range later………definitely not from Johnny’s. Ok. Let’s skip this.
The hotel we stayed at was a high class one, 5 stars I heard, which succeed in making us like some fools (baca: jadi orang udik). We spent some time laughing like idiots while tried to turn on the flat-screen TV & ended up playing with some switches for the curtains at the table. And we met our distant family too. See, my grandma’s youngest bro married a Japanese woman & currently living in Kobe, near Osaka. They gave us lots of foods such as 2 Fuji apples, 4 bags of candies, 2 box of crackers, a bag of sweet grape & even gave us 5000 円 each for our long journey. Waaaahhhhhh~~~ they are too nice!!!

2nd day, we went to Kyoto. We visited Kiyomizudera, a Buddhist temple whorships Kannon/ Guan Yin/ Kwan Im. Lots of people there, mostly students for study tour. Hell, even students from all-boy Korean school were there! I tried the omikuji at the temple coz my classmate asked me to do so. Her final paper is about Japanese fortune telling, that’s why. Omikuji is a Japanese fortune telling. You pay for 100 yen (at Kiyomizudera) & shake a kind of bottle which is contents the number of your fortune telling. The mikos there will give you a piece of paper, your result, & if the result is good you can take the paper home. If the result is bad, you have to tie the paper like in the photos so the bad result will be gone.
Hey, I took a pic with a couple wore yukatas at the temple! And with 2 maikos (woman in learning to be a geisha)! Those 2 were like celebrities there, lots of people were asking for photos~~
On the way to the temple (it’s up on the hill) there were lots of food & gifts shops. It was confusing, lots of cute things & we ended up bought some keychains & Ice creams. Speaks about ice creams……..Japanese people are so neat, they won’t litter at random places. The garbage bin also divided to organic & non-organic bins, for waste paper, for bottles etc. This was the most confusing things. See, I have to wait until I saw a garbage bin if I wanna throw away my garbage. But when I saw 1, I have had to think 1st: is this for organic or non-organic or what??? That was the ice cream disaster……..the portion’s so big I was full in an instant & didn’t see garbage bin everywhere!
Ok, back to the shops. Hahahahahah~~~~ I almost wanted to laugh out loud when I saw a shop, full of student customers, which is selling posters of Jhonny’s boys!!! I saw KAT-TUN, Yamapi, SMAP, etc!! Guan Yin must bless uncle Jhonny & his boys!!! Too bad I couldn’t take any pics!

From Kiyomizudera, we went to see Nishijin Kimono Show. Nishijin is the famous kimono maker & it’s indeed beautiful. Here are some photos my cousin took with my camera.
Last place we visited in Kyoto was the Heian Shrine. It’s sooooo empty & large. I took a pic of omikuji again, don’t be bored, k? Oh, I forgot to tell: the local guide is a Malaysian man married with a Japanese woman. His name’s Dickson. He’s nice & hilarious, likes to tease the younger boys & girls. He taught us to wash hands & mouth before entering the temple & shrine. It goes in this order: left hand, right hand, pour the water to the left hand to wash your mouth & finally wash your right hand again. Only after do so you can enter the temple/shrine. It seemed like Moslem’s wudhu water, ne?
From there, we went to Toyohashi.

3rd day, at Toyohashi, we tried shinkansen, started from Shizuoka train station to Shinfuji train station. It was the 1st generation of shinkansen, the Kodama, but the interior just like my country’s plane interior! The seat are comfortable. Hey, take a look of this pic: a proof of young Japanese worker indeed reading manga while riding the shinkansen to work~
After about 10 mins in shinkansen, we went to Owakudani. There’s a mountain with, uh what is it in English…….. sulphuric lake (danau belerang) there. I couldn’t go up there since I have asthma & can’t stand sulphur scent so I just wandered around the shops searching some souvenirs until my cousin came & gave me the black egg/ kurotamago. This egg was dipped in the sulphur or something so the shell is black. It is said that person ate this egg will live 7 years longer~
From Owakudani we went down & have had a 10 mins tour with a ship at lake Ashi. See, the ship looks like pirate’s ship. Too bad, no Jack Sparrow inside (of course…). Far away there’s a Torii at the lake. Torii is a symbol of Shinto shrine. It was built coz human beings can’t reach to God’s place at the sky so they buit the Torii, hoping their prayers & messages will be sent to the Gods by the birds. That’s why the name’s Torii (tori is Japanese for bird).
After lunch, we went to Heiwa Koen/ Peace Park. This park is a memoriam for WWII, a Buddhist park. Lots of Buddhist statue here & the main temple has golden Buddha. Not much to tell here, exc. my cousin, being the most narcisstic among us, decided to came in front of my camera almost every time I wanna shoot the scenery. Fine, 2 can play the game, so she took my pics too~
We slept at a resort in Kawaguchi. This is a semi-traditional resort. The room have tatami mat & instead of springbed, they have futons. We also tried bathing at an indoor onsen (hot spring) too. Since it was so crowded & we preferred to bath by our own, both of us waited for 10 pm before take a bath. It was really relaxing!! Sooo nice!! But also so hot after the bath our skin turned red like boiled crabs. I recommend you to take a bath at onsen after have a long & tiring journey!

4th day, we supposed to go to Tokyo but our guides decided to take us up to the 5th level of Mt. Fuji. Yay!!! But………..uh…..brrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhh!!!! It was soooo cold! I heard the temperature is 10º C! The wind blows so hard it feels as if we could gone flying with the wind. We just went inseide the shop & quite confused since the shopkeepers can speak Indonesian. Later we heard that they have had gone to Indonesia & Malaysia, so no wonder. After bought some souvenirs we went up to the shrine near there, while fighting with the wind & cold, & took some pics……..& tried omikuji again. This one’s different since instead of using paper, the omikuji shaped like a harisen cellphone-chain. Now I’m addicted.
The most surprising me was: snow!! It was snowing when we took pics, I’m so happy coz I never see 1 before! <<<<<

From Mt. Fuji we went to Harajuku & Ginza, while passing by the Tenno/Emperor’s castle on the way.
About Harajuku………….Indonesian, read this: it just looks like Pasar Baru or ITC. But really, the fashion there was…….interesting. Lots of junior high students were there buying clothes. And…….do I have to see Jhonny’s boys photos everywhere I go? And most of them are KAT-TUN & Yamapi. I wished you were there, Soubibeloved. Btw we bought 2 clothes for each of us too. Now I understand why most of young Japanese, especially girls, are wearing clothes like that. Shinjuku is right on the side of Harajuku but we weren’t go there. Instead, we went to Ginza but didn’t buy anything since it’s a high-class with a high-price place. We just wandered around to take some photos. Also, we were passing by Shibuya but didn’t get off from the bus. Just passing by, that’s all. And we passed by Avex Group building, which is Hamasaki Ayumi’s office, but I forgot where, may be Shibuya. The last place we visited were Akihabara to ordered some anti-radiation devices. Let’s see if this thing really work. Anyone interested? It’s 3000 円each, 25000 円 1 box contains 10 (knapa jd promosi niy…).

5th day morning we went to Asakusa Kannon Temple. And I tried omikuji again (blom bosen), took pics, all the same. And…..typical of tourists, however, most of the tour members preferred to went shopping at Nakamise, a gift shops area in front of the temple. Here, some other pics.
After that, at 11 am Japan time, we went to Tokyo DisneySea. No, it’s not a Seaworld or something. It just like DisneyLand, but most of the attraction themed about sea. It’s not as big as DisneyLand too, but I prefer this 1. Let’s see, we rode Indiana Jones, Journey To The Centre Of The Earth & …………I forgot. Pfft. I’ll update later when I remember. All of them are nice. But for Journey To The Centre Of The Earth we have had to wait 50 mins for a ride which only took less than 10 mins. Wonderful. I like Indiana Jones, though. Perhaps I like it the most. We couldn’t ride Tower of Terror coz we have to queu for more than 2 hours. No, thanks.

And note this, even if it is smaller than DisneyLand, it could be deadly coz it will make you think we can go around them easily………..& ended up VERY VERY tired. Based on true story. That’s what happened to us. Anyway, here some photos of the parade there. I couldn’t took them from a close range, too bad.

We were back to the hotel after dinner at 8.00 pm, took bath & for some reason, both of us started to chat until midnight about boyfriends, family relationships, the weirdness of the tour members, all crazy things. But it feels nice, it’s been a long time since I have the last family chat with my cousin.

6th day, finally: Tokyo DisneyLand. We went together as a group & tried a 3D film, I forgot the title but it’s about a careless scientist getting an award. Next is Haunted Mansion & Space Mountain. I like Haunted Mansion the most, it’s awesome!!! I don’t like occult thingies but this 1 was wonderful! Not scary at all, awesome instead! The most creepy 1 was the Japanese girls attendants here. They wore a 19th century maid outfit, letting us in with a soft-mellow-creepy voice, no smile at all, & moving around with such a soft yet creepy act…….almost looked like flying or didn’t have any body weight at all. Definitely like a ghost. Scary, indeed.
Space Mountain is an indoor jet coaster. Warning: for a low blood pressure person like me, please think twice before ride this. It was ok, the concept of riding a jet coaster in a dark room full of stars are great, but it have sharp & fast moves which made me dizzy at the end. And don’t forget: don’t eat anything before the ride, else you’ll puke for sure. Other than that, it was nice too!
But really……….like I said before, I’m not really interested with DisneyLand etc & my cousin have had experienced LA & Australia DisneyLand. Which meant both of us already bored & finally didn’t do anything except wandered around took some pics *again* & went in and out souvenir shops. She bought some shirts & hats for her nephews, nieces, big bro, boyfriend & herself while I myself bought shirts for my dad, bro & myself. Other things? It was raining there, so we couldn’t drop & sat everywhere we like, in result our feet easily tired. See? The effect of wandering around DisneySea. That was all we did from 1.00-6.00 pm. After that, we ate at Hanamasa barbeque. There we have had a taste of Kobe beef, the best beef in the world! It’s really have a soft texture & very delicious & tasty, even if we ate it without any seasoning at all. I’m so lucky~~

There are some other interesting things we found there. 1st, most of the Japanese are fashionable, VERY, that made us don’t understand the point of it. Yes, we didn’t understand the point of wearing 8-10 cm high heel shoes to DisneyLand. Not until we went to Harajuku anyway. Most of the ladies shoes there are high heels. And the mix & match of the clothes & hair style are interesting to look at.
2nd, I saw lots of cute & cool guys there, everywhere. BUT lots of them dyed their hair brown or blonde, which make me think, “Oh my, I see KAT-TUN everywhere I go. This is indeed their country” or something like that.
3rd, when we went to Ikebukuro, just behind the Sunshine City Prince, 1st hotel we were staying at in Tokyo, I see some guys with a loose suit standing at the centre of the street. I found this strange & didn’t understand what are they doing…….until I remember something. Hosuto. HOST. Or gigolo. Ohgodohgodohgodohgod. And I was right. Just right after the word clicked to my mind, 1 of the guys approached a girl who was walking around & tailing her about 1,5 metre before gave up. Some minutes after, he tailed another girl, also alone, again. Uh oh. Lucky me, I went there with my cousin & our country’s tour guide.
4th, the tour members themselves. There are 5 families, including us, in this tour. Among them, perhaps we were the most stingy one, especially since we rarely bought any snacks or drink from jidouhambaiki or vending machine. We just filled our bottles from the tab since the water isn’t harmful. The other families, from our POV, like to spent their money to useless things.
1 family has 2 children who liked to buy drink from jidouhambaiki every time they saw 1. This also the family that bought expensive sashimi & Kobe beef. And after the tour they still continue their journey to Sapporo. Very rich indeed.
2nd family also stay a bit longer in Japan, but there aren’t any weirdness from them. They just like the most normal family among the tour members.
3rd family has 2 boys, 1 is in high-school & the other in junior high. Their mom is so nice, typical of a caring mother who care about us, the 2 girls too. But the strange things are: everytime we entered the bus they always eat some snacks, meaning they have had endless collection of local snack there. Next is the relationship. The 2 boys seemed very loyal to their mom, obeyed her every word. And the youngest boy always holding hands with his mom everywhere they go. Don’t you found this weird? A junior high student, a boy, still holding hands with his mom on that age? I almost never holding hands with my mom & I’m a girl!
4th family is the weirdest 1. A boy, a girl & their dad. They have the very same appearance: tall, slim *or should I say thin*, quiet, with eyes looks like always sleepy & antisocial. Yes, antisocial. They never communicate with the others except the tour guides. We often sat on the same table with them when eating & they acted as if we were invicible. We always sit right in front of the children but even when they look straight forward, it seemed like they didn’t see us. Keep eating & not saying anything. Their dad always took very delicate care for them, especially the boy. He’s grown already, a 3rd grade junior high student I think, & his dad always pursued him to eat this & that, even went to pick some foods for his son. And when they were carrying things, luggage or shopping bags, the boy never carried anything at all. Always his sister or dad. And no one seemed to mind at all. And never show any gratitude after being helped by someone. This is my own experience. Once, they asked our tour guide about a stone & she asked me coz she didn’t understand Japanese. There were only the local tour guide, Dickson, & I who understand Japanese. So I asked the shopkeeper about the stone & later explained to the weird family. Then they bought the stone, I think, but didn’t even look at me again. I don’t mind really, but still don’t understand their attitude up till now. Well, at least there were some changes nearing the end of the tour. They started talking with us even though still rarely.

Ok……….what else, what else……
Oh, the sad things though, I couldn’t meet Ayakina at Kyoto & my half-Japanese friend at Tokyo. Oh, well………at least I could met our family there.

Ah....I will add some photos later~~

Exam panic attack!

That's what I think. Next monday we will have 2 exams: japanese kanji & history of modern way of thinking....or something like that.

And still have to prepare & shop for shabu-shabu ingredients. That's for japanese culinary culture class at next Thursday, we will cook some japanese dishes. My group choose shabu-shabu & yesterday we have had simulation at our sensei's house. 2 japanese helped us tasting our cooking & gave some advices here & there, making sure they would taste like real japanese dishes. Yokatta ne~~
Anyway the 2 japanese are man & wife, the husband is the vice-headmaster of JJS (Jakarta Japan School?) so it's quite a shock for us at 1st since no one of us, not even our sensei, will have such an important person to help...

Well, at least we know where we did wrong XD Arigatou gozaimashita, sensei-gata~

Huh, ga cuma susah konsen n males tp juga nunda2 kerjaan mulu......padahal dulu slalu nyicil klo ada pr n tes. Doushou???
